Unique Views is a juried art exhibition sponsored by the Huntsville Art League. It invites you to view the world around us through the eyes of artists. These views may be of our town, our lives, or our beliefs. Selected works will be exhibited at the opening reception in Lowe Mill on May 16, and then displayed in the Second Floor Connector gallery for several weeks. Works may be offered for sale, from the HAL studios in Lowe Mill and from a HAL website for this exhibition.
Greg Datcher Artist and instructor in ceramics. Taught at The Studio and has been teaching at the Huntsville Museum of Art for 12 years. Attended Alabama A and M majoring in studio art as well J. F. Drake Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Automotive Technology.
Linda received a B.S. in Art and Design from Arkansas Tech University. She worked as a Graphic Artist and Visual Information Specialist for the U.S. Government where her art developed doing illustrations and creating designs and special projects. Living in different parts of the U.S. she returned to her love of painting. Her commissioned portraits are in collections throughout the Country. She has studied with artist such as Paul McCormick and Charles Reid and attended workshops with the Portrait Society of America. Linda teaches classes in drawing. watercolor and pastel at the Huntsville Museum of Art. In September 2005 and October 2006 she conducted 7 day classes in portraits, watercolor and oil with the Grafton Artsfest in Grafton, Australia. She may be reached at www.portraitsbylindaruhl.com
