Chuck has lived and worked in Huntsville, Alabama since 1961. He started painting as a hobby around 1980; he is completely self taught and has had no formal training except as a technical illustrator prior to receiving his degree in electrical engineering at the University of Tennessee. After trying oil and water color mediums, he has concentrated on acrylics as his medium of choice.
The most fulfilling aspect of his artwork comes from preparing specific pieces for friends and family as surprise gifts.
Chuck was active in local and area art shows in the 1980’s but did not paint for several years until retirement in 2000. Chuck creates landscapes, seascapes and paintings of wildlife from photographs.
