Using your more capable camera like a point-and-shoot? Learn how to use the functions of your expensive camera to make photographs that are true to your vision.
Students must have a camera that can be operated in a full manual mode. The class is not for point-and-shoot cameras. We will cover setting aperture, shutter speed, and ISO for accurate exposure, setting a custom white balance for accurate color, lens selection for the desired composition, and basic outdoor lighting. Practical exercises during class will ensure students can perform functions on their camera.
Cost is $150 ($135 for HAL members) for five 2-hour sessions and a Saturday shoot.
The class will meet on Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00, March 7 – April 4 in the HAL Gallery, Studio 213, Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment. The Saturday shoot will be April 6.
Call 256-534-3860 or visit the Huntsville Art League in Lowe Mill or register online at huntsvilleartleague.org to reserve your seat. The class is limited to 12 students age 16 and up. Non-refundable payment is due in full when reservation is made.
