- January 31, Reception and Preview
- February 9th, Collector’s Draw
Collector’s Draw has been postponed until 2022 due to Corona Virus issues. Thank you and we hope you participate again next year. We will let you know when tickets go on sale towards the end of 2021.
For over 30 years the Huntsville Art League (HAL) has held the Collector’s Draw as its primary fundraising activity. This is how the Collector’s Draw works: Area artists, mostly members of HAL, donate works valued at more than $175 each for the Draw. From January 4th to February 8th, the artwork will be on display at the HAL Gallery in Lowe Mill Arts and Entertainment so that ticket holders have an opportunity to prepare a short list of their favorites. On January 31st there will be a reception at the gallery for ticket holders and artists to mingle and look at the work. Finally, the Draw will be held on February 9th at the VBC with Steve Johnson, WHNT Anchor, drawing the numbers in random order. As each ticket number is called, the holder will select their piece from all those remaining. It’s a drawing where there are no losers!
The income generated by Collector’s Draw enables HAL to conduct art classes and workshops for the entire community as well as operate the gallery in Lowe Mill as a venue for our local artists to sell their work.
