In the Artist’s Words…
I was born in New York City and attended public schools in Brooklyn and the Bronx. During my high school years, I’d determined I wanted to become an art teacher to teach children of the joys of art and the story behind it. I enjoyed drawing and painting from an early age after received an art set or Christmas.
I received my BS in Art Education in 1968 and my MA in Art History in 1976. I taught in Washington DC and Maryland public school systems starting on the elementary level and progressing up to the middle school level. I retired with disability in 2005 due to a school related hand injury.
In 2016 I retired to Madison Alabama. I wanted to continue to enjoy the artistic passion in my life, so I started concentrating on developing unique creative abstracts using permanent inks which were easier for me to manipulate. I now fill my days of leisure in wonderful artistic pursuit.
